Another blog appears on the interweb thingy!
As the final countdown to my sabbatical begins, I’m taking the opportunity to start blogging.
I’ve got one more day of parish work and then ‘it’ begins. I’m wondering how it will feel and how to do sabbatical doing and being. While I have some travelling and activities booked in, I’ll also be at home, and there will be family stuff to do/worry about/weave in.
My main focus is on the place of storytelling in my role as an ordained priest. I’ll be doing some training and maybe seeing how other folk and places include storytelling in the building of community and the journey of faith.
OK, this is a short post just to get me started, and off we go..
It is nice to meet you! Welcome to RevGals.
Thanks! Good to join you all.
Welcome to Rev. Gals and blessings to you on your sabbatical. I’m in the midst of my first sabbatical right now. I have used this time to do quite a bit of work on my blog–I find blogging to be a good way for me to slow down and reflect on God’s work in my life and in the world. I look forward to reading about your sabbatical experience and insights on storytelling.

btw – I love hte "pootling along" – it reminds me of being in Scotland in a religious community and having "pottering time" in the afternoons.
