After the storm …
the picking up the pieces,
the making safe of the fractured,
the living with dents to certainty and the cracks to perfection.
And who cares enough to see, to listen,
to notice the disturbed peace?
The one whose voice of authority carries on the wind of change.
Be still. Peace to you.

Fallen Christ, on the Island of Iona. Taken on a wild and windy day, September 2011

Fallen Christ, on the Island of Iona. Taken on a wild and windy day, September 2011

Prayer prompt: A great windstorm arose and the waves beat into the boat,
so that the boat was already swamped. But Jesus was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”
(Mark 4:37-38, NRSV)
