“A Canaanite woman from that region came out and started shouting, ‘Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is tormented by a demon.'” (Matthew 15:22) “A man came to Jesus, knelt before him and said, ‘Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and he suffers terribly.'” (Matthew 17:14-15) “There were two blind men sitting by the roadside; when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they shouted, ‘Lord have mercy on us!'” (Matthew 20:30).

The children cry out for the sake of their parents:
Kyrie eleison

The sick cry out for the sake of the well:
Christe eleison.

The poor cry out for the sake of the rich:
Kyrie eleison.

Even if these were silenced, the very stones would cry out:
Kyrie eleison,
Christe eleison,
Kyrie eleison.
